Medical Apparel Fabrics FAQ

  • Q: Are your medical fabrics disposable or reusable?

We produce reusable woven medical fabrics. Unlike disposable non-wovens, our fabrics withstand 75+ industrial washes and are suitable for medical uniforms that require repeated use and high-temperature sterilization (e.g., nurse uniforms, lab coats, surgical gowns).

  • Q: What fluid repellent rating do your medical fabrics have?

Our medical fabrics are tested to AAMI PB70 and can achieve Level 1 to Level 3. The specific level depends on fabric construction and finishing. Customers can choose the appropriate protection level based on application scenarios (e.g., daily care, low-risk procedures, or surgical settings).

  • Q: Is the antimicrobial function permanent? How many washes does it last?

We use silver-ion antimicrobial technology. The antimicrobial function lasts for 75+ industrial washes, with the bacterial reduction rate remaining above 99% (for S. aureus, E. coli, K. pneumoniae). Customers are advised to replace uniforms periodically based on washing frequency.

  • Q: Are the medical fabrics antistatic?

Yes, we have a specific antistatic series designed for operating room environments. Conductive yarns (typically carbon fibers) are woven into the fabric, meeting EN 1149-5 standards to prevent electrostatic charge accumulation and avoid risks in surgical settings.

  • Q: Does the fabric shrink or deform after washing?

Our medical fabrics are pre-shrunk, with shrinkage controlled within 2% (AATCC 135). After 75 industrial washes, the fabric maintains good dimensional stability and appearance, with no significant deformation or fuzzing.

  • Q: What certifications do your medical fabrics have?

Our medical fabrics are tested to the following standards: AAMI PB70 (fluid repellency), EN 13795 (surgical gowns/drapes), AATCC 100 (antimicrobial), EN 1149 (antistatic). In addition, all products comply with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, ensuring no skin irritation.
